This has got me confussed I replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor and dis rotor. and problem is still there.

The truck runs strong when engine has not warmed up all the way. But once warm it does not let me climb hills or acceclarate. at wot the engine seems to back fire bogg hesitate or stumble after i let the truck sit for a few minutes it runs good for a few more minutes and starts all over again.

My friend has a gm van with the 5.7 and i swapped the ignition control module and coil. and the problem was still there so i put my original back on. i also moved the distributor a tooth forward and backwards from its original locaiton. and i get the code p1345. so i put it back to the original location and no code and runs strong when cold.

oh and when the truck stumbles there is not code.

any suggestions

thanks

lee

Clean the MAF and see what it does after that.

Found out my problem it is a leaking fuel injector. i hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and saw that the pressure was 65 psi and when i shut the car off the fuel pressure drops rapidly.
