Hey

i just bought an 06 silverado 2500HD and it has about 3500 miles on it now and something doesnt seem right, it feels like the truck has no power and even worst fuel economy then my old 02 silverado same model. is there some kind of break in that it need to go through and then maybe i will see better results or as that just something i need to deal with. i know its a truck and its too be expected but i feel my 02 had alot better performance then this 06. any help or suggestions would be great

thanks

Motor? I doubt 161’s rig is electric powered so it must have an ENGINE. Motors are electric or commonly used poor terminology for people that do not work in the automotive industry when referencing a gasoline engine. That’s OK….most our service manuals say motor when referenceing a gasoline engine too. Dang contract guys that write manuals anyhow.

That's your radioactive nuclear reactor that powers your flux capacitor, gee didn't you know?...

Oh, and to answer the question. Maybe you've got a plugged up cat converter or something along those lines. Still under warranty so take it in and have them check it out.

Welcome to drive by wire and TQM (Tourqe Management) if you have you foot in it, it will wast gas and not go anywhere as far as power goes. but it could be as said above a cloged cat.

My 02 would run circles around my 04 with more mods. you might check into a Tune the difference is like night and day

actually i had a tune for my 02 but even without the tune my 02 still performed better. but anyways i took the wait4me tune out of my 02 but i dont know if i should put it in my new truck as far as the warrenty goes. and i would have to get it reprogrammed to the new truck i would imagine.....right?

How about using spell check? For someone so well versed you would figure to not let this slip. It is spelled this way "referencing" . I just wanted to point that out for you. :chevy:

Have a great day.
