swapping brake controllers

I have an '02 2500HD with a Voyager controller. I am selling this to my bro-inlaw and he has a '03 1500HD. Is there anything special needed?

 

Also I am installing a Prodigy. Is there anything I need to keep from my controller I have now to make the new one work?

Any advise is appreciated.

I got my best price for a Prodigy on Ebay. I don't remember the total $ but I lnow it was less than $100 shipped. It came from an RV dealer somewhere...

 

I also just bought the pigtaile that plugs directly from the fuse block to the back of the controller so there was no messin around with spliced wires. I bought this on Ebay also, but from another seller.

My advice is don't screw around with a Prodigy. Do it right and get a BrakeSmart.

I have had good luck with my Prodigy. What's different about the Brakesmart?

I like my Prodigy. The hard part is mounting it. Beyond that my pet baboon did an excellent job.
