I just wanted to ask, can you fit 315s on a stock height truck?  I have talked to people around where I live and they all swear that theirs dont even rub!  Around here a ton a people have that size on their truck and they look awesome, but I just wanted to ask and find out for sure.  Thanks for your info.!

Thanks,

Will

Welcome to the site and forum, BTW!  Most people here have said 285's are about as big as you can go w/o a lift or at least torsion bar cranking.  I assume you're talking the 4x4, and using the stock wheels?

I'd like to have 315's also, but sure wouldn't want to buy them to try the fit!

I don't have any specific experience yet w/ 315's, but I'm sure some members here, in the know, will respond.

THey will fit possibly if you only drive straight and never turn

I think someone was pulling your leg.  I have heard some people cant even fit 285s

Running stock rims you could fit some 305 x-terrains w/ only rubbing at full crank and w/ an inch or two of T-bar crank.  I've seen a few truck running 315 x-terrains w/ a 3" body lift on the stock rims w/o any rubbing.

I also have 285's on 16x8 american racing wheels. No rubbing with only a few turns of the Torsion bars. check out the link in my description to get to the pictures.

I have a 6" lift and my 315x75x16's rub sometimes when backing out my driveway (small bump) at full turn.

Ive had them rub once off road also.

No, I have just pulled over and ask people whether theirs rub and they say no, and a couple said barely at full turn.  I've also asked people that I know wouldn't lie and they said not at all.  :D

Im not the smartest guy in the world but if his are rubbing with a 6 inch lift then what do you think they will do with the stock suspension?

Ryan, not to play devil's advocate, but the tire brand has a lot to do w/ it as the height and width can vary.  Also, if he's going to use stock rims he can cram some bigger tires since the rims aren't as wide and there is a lot of backspacing.  On Henry's truck he has 8" wide rims and if I had to guess about 4.5" of backspacing.  He'll have to correct me on that since it's just a guess.

I am planning on some Wild Country TXRs.  One of the people I asked had this exact tire and had them test fitted before purchase and swears they never have and currently don't rub at all!

I'd still want to drive it for myself first, if possible, incl. full turns over bumpy roads, offroad, etc, with the exact same tires, rims, and truck type as I have, I know that!

Good luck with it and let us know how it turns out!

I've got 275/70's on stock wheels on a lowered Z71 (2" front) without ever rubbing on the street hitting bump stops.  Sure I could go up 1" wider on a stock height.  Don't think stock wheels would be up to it.

I can't believe that 315s would fit on a stock truck... I would definitely have to "see to believe"   :D

but, more power to ya.

Theirs no way 315s will fit on a stock truck, 315s are real close to a 35" tire. Thats what I'm running(35x12.50R16) with a 6" Superlift and like Dihappy said they do rub(very little) when in a twist and turning at the same time.
