Adding cruise control

Bought a 2001 sierra sl 8.1/ally a couple of weeks ago. No power windows,door locks or cruise control. Couldn't pass the deal up. I canlive without the windows and locks but I would like to add cruise if possible. Since its a "fly by wire" setup the after market systems I've seen won't work. Is it possible to add a factory cruise? Is the wiring there but just nothing hooked to it? Any advice wouild be appreciated.
