Electrical problem?

I am having a few problems. One, my wipers work sometimes and other times they don't. Also, my left turn signal is twice as fast and my right one. Any ideas of what it could be?

On the 97 silverado I used to have, the turn signal would blink faster if one of the bulbs burned out. My dad has the truck now and his wipers are doing the same thing, but we still haven't found the problem.

the wiper problem is most likely the circuit board on the motor.

THe wiper problem IS the circuit board on the motor. it is a defect, but GM wont acknowledge. THe blinker deal is either one of two things. A bulb is burned out, or there is an incorrect bulb (ohm rating) on either side.

 

Easy fixes.

Anyway to fix the wiper problem?

Replace the wiper motor. Save your receipts and write yourself a bill at the going rate for the time it took to do the job, and save that too. That way when the NHTSC forces GM to recall eventually, you'll be able to get reimbursed.

I have one other suggestion, might it be the cluster stick? WHatever they call the stick with the turn signal, and the wiper controls all in one thing? The reason I suggest this is I had an older work truck where the wipers and the high beam headlights would go nuts because some contacts in the "cluster stick" i think they called it were wore out. Just another thing to try....
