Removing 4X4 signs

Has anyone removed the 4X4 signs on a 06 2500HD? How does it look. I think they are ugly and would lot smoother without them. Have any pictures with them removed? Thanks

I removed them on a 2004 1500. Not that the model matters. My truck is black and after I took them off, you can see the outline. I havent had a chance to wash and wax my truck yet, so I'm sure it will be gone once I do that. Check my garage, I think I have a picture afterwards there. It does look MUCH better. My side moldings are next. I just used a heat gun to heat up the vinyl enough to make it somewhat melty kind of like cheese on a hambuger, then lift up with your fingernail and pull it off. It comes off quite nice. Hope this helps.

I removed them from my 02 1500 Chevy by warming them with a heat gun (just warm them enough to lift a corner with a thumbnail -- don't burn them off!!!). Once I got one corner lifted I was able to heat and peel them off in one piece. There was just a hint of ghosting, but a once over with a mild polish and a DA took it right out. And mine had been on the truck for three years before I removed them.
