Lots of discussion on this topic out there. Do a search and you'll probably find what you want to know.

You guys are over complicating this mod! The only thing you need to do is bypass a wire in the fuse box and voila! Fog light comes on automaticaly with the low beam. I even took it once step further and put a switch on for full control! And it's the same concept if you are adding a new set.

Just have to put a diode between your low beam and the fog light relays. I just did this mod lastnight to make all my lights come on with the lows and then when i switch to highs they all stay on. Took about 20 mins and cost less than 10 bucks at radioshack. I have an 04 1500 silverado.

FWIW, I did this on my 04 Silverado some years back. Dunno if I had a bad diode or what but on the coldest evenings a few times after just turning on the headlights, they would blink a few times almost like they had to "warm up" before working correctly. Never heard anyone else having this problem. I took the diodes out and lost 'em soon after. Then went with the euroBMW bulbs(fantastic light but now they're no longer made...:driving::fume: ) and I haven't bothered with it since.

Good luck-it is worth doing with stock headlamps.

So what exactly needs to be done here? I'd like to have my fog lights on with my low beams as well. Can you show us what you did?

great write-up! works perfectly. i only wired it so that my drl's come on with my high beams. took an all of 30 seconds, hardest part was pulling the relays out.

don't do it. you will blind everyone. I was the driver of a small car and i truly believe that it should be illegal to have your fog lights on when conditions do not warrant, esp. if you truck is lifted.
