paint color

Hey guys i was wondering if you guys knew why chevy only puts the majestic red metallic paint on the LT and the LTZ models of the new trailblazer and why does it cost another ? for the paint. Been looking at new trailblazers with my parents and noticed this. Have not had a chance to ask any dealer about this so i thought maybe somebody here would know. Its the only color that is not a option on the LS models. Catch ya later.

haha, too funny.

I belive the general is trying to create a "premieum" look. Therefore you'll know that all majestic red trucks are not base. Just my theory.

Red is the most expensive color of paint there is... Ask any body shop!!! There is something about the pigment... That is why they probably put a premium on it....

Friz -- the majestic red metallic is similar to the chili pepper red found on some Durangos. Here are a few pics of an LT in this color:

I've

seen a few of LT's and LTZ's in this color in person, and I could be wrong, but it almost looked like the metal flakes were larger than those found in other paints. Would that have anything to do with it? More difficult to apply, perhaps?
