Need second Opinion

I have read all the post on this but I hoping I missed something. After all the testing I am assuming the tranny is bad.

I have a 4L60E that will not work in 3rd or 4th gear, just revs like in neutral. First, second and reverse work great.

No computer codes in memory and filter and fluid changed.

Disconnected computer cable to tranny and forced tranny in failsafe mode still same problem.

Tested all solenoids in tranny and are working. I have done all the testing I know of and it all points to a bad tranny. Just looking for a second on my troubleshooting and diagnosis.

By the way tranny has 215,000 on it and was working great till tranny line blew out at 65 mph and emptied almost all the fluid.

Sounds like when you blew out the fluid, you burned out the clutches in 3rd and 4th. Time to rebuild or get a new.

After 215K who cares if the tranny is toast, I would have started rat holeing money for that repair, 100k miles ago. Congratulations.

Sounds like you burnt up the 3 and 4 clutches. With 215k on the odo, you got your moneys worth out of the tranny.
