weight diff

just wondering if anyone knows the weight diff between a 2500hd and a 2006 1500hd? thanks for any info.

that is both trucks are 4x4 and are crew cabs shortbed and have 6.0l

Thanks for the link, gave20. I thought the base weight between the two would be a bit higher going from 1500 to 2500?

not really in that case, the only difference is in the frame (going from a 6" frame to an 8" frame) you still have the 10.5" 14bolt axle, same front suspension. The transfer case is slightly larger on the HD, but that's about it.

The frame is 25% thicker on the HD2500 and it weighs quite a bit more than the HD1500.
