Cd-player

Do you mean if you buy a CD player from someone?  Make sure that they don't have the theft-lock engaged when they take it out of the truck, or if they do get the code from them.  I believe that the red theft lock light blinks when the truck is off and that's how you know when it's engaged.

HEY.......If that little light is on that means the

theft lock is armed. I have never armed mine so

my light is not on.   Of course i don't live in a

high crime area anyway.   Use caution.......geo

Just make sure you don't unhook your battery if you don't have the code to unlock it. :)

If you do manage to lock up your stereo and you do not have the code, just take the vehicle to the service center at any GM dealer (I assume all GM brands had this Theftlock stereo at some point, because everyone I know with a '96-'01 GM car/truck has the same stereo).  They will unlock it and give you the code for free.  If they try to charge you, punch them in the kidneys. :)  Just kidding...I don't need any lawsuits.
