New meaning for Junk in the trunk

Did they give the new silverado tailgates botox? Why the buldge? Looks like it has some wide hips and a big ol behind hehe. It would have been cheaper to not put that there.

While I am starting to really like the interior pictures, the exterior pictures of the new Silverado don't really do much for me. The GMC, looks better to me. Chevrolet.com has a nice intro to the new truck.

I agree Ryan,I never noticed that "bulge" on the tailgate before,I don't like it at all!

And I still wish the front ends would sit up even with the back end on the 4x4's,I HATE the front-end "sag" look.It makes a 4x4 look like a 2wd.

I too don't care for the new one but after seeing the pics in truck trend it's not as bad as I thought but still not very good.

I think Chevrolet has gone to queer eye for the straight guy for the looks of their trucks from time to time. Well look on the bright side, it may grow on you like the front end we all complained about a few years ago.

Yes, it is growing on me. I didn't care for the 99's when they came out...but they grew on me. Didn't care for the 03 front end design...but grew on me enough that I have an 04.

 

GMC does look a LOT like a Super Duty, but overall I like the lines. Chevy lines are growing on me. Will be interested to see them in person...although I'm thinking my truck is going to be sitting in my garage for quite some time. Mainly casue the wife's already talking about trading in her 03 Burban for an 07 Burb...but only if financing gets down to the 0% she has on her current Burb.

That "sag" is called a rake It's very usefull if you're hauling a heavy ass load and your truck sits level instead of "nose up" like the fords and dodges do.

 

It's also aerodynamically usefull. Lower nose cuts the wind out from under the truck.

I like the new Chevy HD's front end better than the 1/2 ton's front end. Much more aggressive and no smiling face look like the 1500.

You do not know how I hate the looks of the fords and dodges with there tails dragging when the have a load on them.

Yea,I know why they have them set low in the front and can understand it,Trouble is,Is that 99% of the time my truck is empty and looks like crap with the front sagging,Thats why I cranked the T-Bars up a little on all of mine!
