Silverado Speakers

Hello Guys, My speakers sounds terrible, broken sounds on both front driver and passenger side door, I'd like to replace them myself so I can save few bucks from going to Car shop, the problem I have is locating the screws for removing panels, Can someone help me locate where the screws are and how to... thanks for your help. from 2000 Silverado X-cab. V8 5.3L. thanks

i can only help you with the front cuz i have a reg cab but heres how the doors come off pull off the little triange near mirror there is a screw under the door handle(that you pull to shut the door) there is a screw on the bottom(under the storage area at bottom of door) then around the door opening handle, pry the circular peice out of there i think there might be a screw behind that circular piece that you cant see when the door is put together after those are removed you should be able to pull the door off it just kinda hangs on just watch that little light at the bottom will have to be pulled out and of course your unlock/window switches i think thats it i just had mine off a few months ago for speaker install if i missed anything let me know hope that helps

On a 2000 model, I believe there is only two screws. One under the grab part of the armrest, and another once you pop out the window and door-lock pad. After that, lift up on the door panel and pull towards you, After you unhook the door light and tweeter wires, it comes right off. I know that is how it is on my Z71 LS.
