anyone have a GM rewards card?

Just looking into it and wondered if anyone had one and what kind of benefits you have redeemed with it, i.e. have you used accumulated points toward a vehicle purchase?

I have one, just used the money I accrued on it towards our 06.

We used ours to put money down on our Suburban, then the Venture and my Silverado. I'm under the old plan where you get up to $500 a year up to 7 years for a total of $3500 to put down on any new GM vehicle. We fill it is worth it since we use our card to buy everything and then just pay it off at the end of the month. We pay the utilities, insurance, fuel, groceries with the card. Then when that max's out we start to use the airline miles Capital One card.

We have one as well and will probably use it for my next purchase.

 

They had a deal recently where they would make up the difference between your points and $2000. I know they have had these deals before but it never seems to happen when I am in the market for a new car.

I have one. has over 2K right now When i bought my truck I had like $500

I have had one since they first came out.........early 90's I think. Over the years I have used it for around 4500.00 in savings on vehicle's. If you have to use a credit card at least you are getting something back with this card. Right now I have 625.00 built back up again. This time of the year you find the odd dealer that will match your dollars as a end of year sales gimmick.

 

Friends of mine had a Ford card and basially lost around 1000.00 bucks when Ford discontinued it...........I think it was a MasterCard though ??

The wife has one. We used it buying my truck last summer. At that time they had an extra $1000 they added on to whatever you all ready had. Didn't know about that, so it was a nice surprise! Will use it for her new ride next year if she stays with a GM product.

i have one but now use my citibank card because its 5% cash back at gas stations and grocery stores.
