I was wondering if anyone knew of a forum as good as this one, devoted to the new Chargers. I did a Google search, but none of the results I found were anywhere near the quality/volume of this forum.

BTW, if anyone has any advice/comments about owning a Charger SRT8, feel free to enlighten me.

I've always been a Chevy man, but the lineup of cars has been lackluster lately, IMHO, and the Charger SRT8 seemed to be the perfect combo of size, personality and awesomeness for our taste (mine and my wife's).

Anyways, we're pretty excited. Picking the car up tomorrow night.

Talk to Lubbock County Sheriffs dept. They just got a few in their fleet. Pretty nice looking IMO.

Yeah Tulsa county, or city I can't remember just got a few. I've seen several being driven around by our finest in Texas.

And here is a good forum. http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/index.php

I pulled up next to one at a light today and asked him if he'd get on the throttle. He sort of grinned and did it since there wasn't really any traffic to speak of. Off the line, those things are quick as hell. I don't think anyone will try to test one unless they're an idiot in a Vette or other hi-po car.

Sapulpa has 2 of them. Kinda underhanded...they car is solid black with Sapulpa Police in black lettering, most locals call them the "stealth" cars. They are super expensive to have the police package added, from what i hear.

I got to take a packaged Charger for a ride during a LE expo here last month. Not too bad looking. It was a parking lot course, so I didn't get up to any reasonable speed so I can't really comment on the driveability.

You guys realize that the "SRT8" version is a whole different beast than a regular Charger or Charger R/T, right?

They're like comparing a V8 Trailblazer to my TBSS. COMPLETE difference in performance and badd-ass-ity. :bs:

I still beat one (an SRT8) to 60 the other day though...He spun pretty hard and I had 3 trucks on him before he knew what hit him. All that power isn't sh*t if you can't use it.

Once again though, nice choice and congrats on the new ride man
