any experience with a ATI PRO CHARGER Supercharger "kit" on a 6.0L GAS Silverado 2500HD?

I watched a piece on SPEED channel not to long ago, think it was that High Tech Tuners (show with the fat and skinny muscle car guy). In any case, they were road testing a new HUMMER H2 which is basically the same drive train as our 2500HD's have.

They had installed an exhaust turbo and it added 150HP and INCREASED gas milage by 4MPG. I thought that was impressive.

I would sure be interested in learning about a belt-driven supercharger kit for my 2005 2500HD with 6.0L.

That 4MPG increase would increase my driving range from 260 miles to 364 miles. That extra 100 mile range at current consumption is $31.00 worth of gas @ 3.10 a gallon. At that rate of savings it wouldn't take long to pay for the supercharger not to mention the extra performance gain.

We've sold some to truck owners but I haven't heard much feedback. The ATI kits are usually popular for performance cars that spend alot of time in the mid to upper RPM range (drag racing). That is where this brand shines!

The Magnuson RADIX supercharger tends to be a popular choice for truck owners. Boost comes on just off idle so you don't have to rev the motor to much to take advantage of the added power. Mileage gains can be seen from the motor operating more efficient. That's after you go back to normal driving. People usually like to play for awhile after the supercharger goes on. That doesn't help mileage but it does help peg the Fun Factor meter!

The RADIX sits on top of the motor. It replaces the stock intake manifold and comes with everything required for the install including a handheld programmer for tuning. You can expect about a 120 rwhp gain with this one.

The Magnuson superchargers are designed to be bolted onto a stock motor and provide many miles of trouble free driving. They don't get to aggressive with boost or the tuning so that keeps them reliable. People that want more of a boost (no pun intended  ) change their pulleys and go with a custom tune. That works very well but it does void the supercharger warranty.

Nice Rig,

For what it's worth, I have a 2001 1/2 ton shop truck with 80,000 miles and a Magnuson charger since new. Have beat the snot out of this truck hauling ad towing. And never a supercharger related problem.

I'll do it again for sure.

Don't remember the cost.

Installation cost would depend on the shop. That is usually between $600. and $800.

We currently have a sale on these superchargers. Just give us a call to receive a quote. Can't openly advertise that price.
