MPG - 2007 Tahoe

This may be a little premature, but I have a new 2007 LTZ, Flexfuel, with GM perfomance exhaust and Performance intake. I like the sound but did this in hopes to improve the MPG (even if by one or two). The sticker says 16/21. I have about 800 miles and according to the DIC, I am around 11/15.9 .. Any thoughts?

I guess I haven't looked that closely at an '07... since when does it report city/highway mileage? How would it know where you're driving?

 

Mileage achieved is 95% driving habits and conditions. I always liked the "Instant Average" that used to be available. It gave me the opportunity to show the customer how much driving style can affect the mileage.

 

Also, I'd wait until you have 5,000 or so miles before checking the mileage. I'd say you're okay. The stickers always seem to be higher than what is actually achieved unless you're driving under controlled conditions as in the testingt process.

Your correct it does not show city/Highway. Just my watchful eye looking at it around town and then Highway. I use the instant to monitor my habits also. I will wait untill 5k.
