Gas Gauge on the frits

On my 04 burb the gas gauge with only 24000 miles started to not show full anymore even after filling it. It only goes up to 3/ of a tank. Any advice

My wifes Blazer has this problem. The gas gage bounces around and doesn't give an accurate reading when it is below 3/4 of a tank. Her's is out of warranty so I make sure she resets the trip after every fill up as the fix is expensive. From what I understand the sensor is located on the top of the fuel tank with the fuel pump so it's a lot of labor. I also hear it is a common problem.

 

Yours is still under warranty, so I would take it to the dealership to get the sensor replaced.
