Autoride Questions

I just traded my 2000 Yukon XL w/ autoride for a 2002 Denali where Autoride is standard. When I started the 2000, I would hear the Autoride pumping for a good minute or so. When I start the Denali, I hear nothing. On the dealer lot I was jumping up and down on the back bumper to try to get it to actuate, and it gave one little peep for one second, so I knew the pump at least worked.

I'm curious if the Denali sounds OK or not? Maybe there were some improvements over the first year that didn't need the pump to run so much?

Thanks in advance, great site.

You can't just jump up and down on the bumper to determine if the load leveling is working. There's a delay built in otherwise the thing would be attempting to compensate for every bump in the road you hit.

Put a couple hundred pounds in the back (or have 3-4 people sit in the back) and see if it responds by raising the rear back up. I don't know the exact time frame, but I'd give it 30 seconds or so before saying it's not working.
