Chevy Wins over Dodge

Well a guy that works with me has a 05 Dodge regular cab 4.7 with no mods other than a Air intake K&N I think but the high $$$ ONE..

I have a 07 Crew Cab 5.3 with a Drop in K&N and I smoked his ass.. Our best times I ran 15.638 and he ran 16.182 I need to get a exhaust and a Super CHip or Hypertech programer...

I also had the bike out there Ran 13.52 with it... (03 Suzuki Intruder 1500)

We had a great time but I was surprised on my times I was not expecting to be under 16. Plus I was not expecting to out run him since he does have a better air intake than I do and a lighter truck..... Maybe I got the luck of the draw on a good motor cause we all know two exact trucks (cars bikes whatever) will not run the same...

The air intake on the Dodge has no effect really. They don't use a MAF sensor, like Ford and Chevy.

And how did you get a 5.7 in a 07?

Maybe, but the real reason you dusted that Dooodge is because the 4.7l has no power. 235hp & 300 ft lbs. Compared to your 315hp & 340 ft lbs.

Typo it is a 5.3 Haaaaaaaa You know the motor that is based off the 5.7 LOL

My mistake...

I did not know the Dodge would not have that much affect with a new air intake.. I know he bought the whole tube and filter kit... I am sure it helped a little over stock. If not then he wasted about $250 or so...

Have not ran one yet. But a guy at work has a Quad cab Hemi. Maybe one day I will be able to line mine up with his and see how it goes..

dodge either gives you the crappy 4.7 or the good hemi- no inbetween. the hemi has either 325 or 335 hp i think, so itd be a good race.

and let us know how things go after an exhaust and the programmer, im thinking about doing that stuff to my truck and im curious to the price and the overall gains.
