What do you use you HD`s for?

Just curious what everyone needed their truck for?? At 6`-6" tall , I needed the room and like the comfort.. I don`t haul much anymore but a boat every now and then... Recreational sports (camping, fishing, off roading etc. etc.) and RACING are some of the main reasons..Its pretty much a full meal deal truck ..Yes, this big truck moves really well for 6100 lbs and being a gas drinking 4x4..

I guess I really need this truck to pull my '32 travel trailer. I need the crewcab to haul the wife and three kids in comfort. I have a cap on the back of my truck and I sleep in the bed when I go trout fishing. That also gives me a secure place to lock some bicycles up etc... I'll occaisionally haul some firewood or something but 90% of the time my bed is mostly empty.

Basically for recreation. Towing a boat, hauling mulch, tools, equipment, and surf fishing. Needed the 4 wd for the beach driving and the occasional snowstorm that dumps an astounding 4 inches on the grounds! LOL Our winters around these parts suck anymore.

I got mine for plowing snow. I've only had a chance to plow 3 times this winter but it does a great job.

I had a 99 ext.cab that we used for an occasional driver and for pulling our 5er, but with my boys starting to get a little older, and GM coming out with the new line of trucks, I got the urge to get a crewcab. I was even more intrigued with the duramax and after months of research and looking, got both in the same package. Now it's my daily driver, used for most of our family outings and pulls that 5er like a dream!

I got mine for towing...only right now it is just towing my 4,000lb boat. My wife and I have run into issues where we would buy a toy that the truck couldn't handle and then we would end up having to get another truck!! We decided to get a new truck that would pull anything we wanted (within reason) be it a 5er or a slide on and not have to worry about having to buy a new truck.

That way we could hopefully get the truck paid off before we buy the next toy, wishfull thinking I know!!

Course by the time we buy another toy I might be tired of the gas mileage and want to get a diesel.....and....yup...a new truck for the new toy!! See I told you it was wishfull thinking!!!

Towing. I tow either landscaping equipment, cars (my Camaro, 66 Pontiac, or my friends Chevelle).

its not labeled a HD, but its as the "HD" of its time.

i use my 2500 for towing, getting 2600lbs of wood pellets, hauling everyones crap. messing around in the dirt. its also my mobile multimedia center or something. so movies/games/tons of music.

Wish I had a new HD but my 3/4 ton is used to pull wagons, pull gooseneck livestock trailer, fuel tank in bed, 4 wheelin, plowin snow, and farmin.

Dads new 02 CC Sb 2500 HD is used for snowmobilin, vacation trips, pullin gooseneck-havent got that in yet, pullin all our other trailers, and for the business.

When I ordered it, it was the lightest crew-cab available through GM (no 1500HD or Avalanche yet). Then after driving the 8.1 , I just needed it .

Oh, yea, it hauls the atv & tows the snowmobile.

I use my truck for doing what a truck is supposed to do. I pull and haul steel and equipment in the truck. That's just about what it does when it works.
