They're getting hard to find. Everybody I've talked to has said that Chevrolet pulled the licensing rights to the bowtie, so nobody is allowed to produce and sell them at this time.

 

I bought mine locally.

im finding the billet bowties everywhere, but i really want a black bowtie, does anyone know where i can get that for an '05 silverado or are the colored bowties i see just overlays?

If you get a solid metal one, you could get it powder coated or spay paint it..

 

If you can't find someone local to do it, we do powder coating at work, and I could have

them shoot it black next time we are coating something what ever color you want,

we have 3 or 4 blacks, so would probably have to send you some sample colors..

 

I have a Silver Birch 2005, and was thinking about getting one and doing it in silver,

just to be a bit different....

I just bought a vinyl overlay - it looks nice, it was cheap ($13.95 including shipping - $8.95 msrp + $5.00) and it has a little metallic shine to it, BUT i want a full on metal bowtie, black, high gloss.
