Climate Control Temperature Problems

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD with dual climate control. When I run the heater and have the temperature control "bars" at the same temperature the passenger's side temperature output is much higher than the driver's side. I would guess 10-15 degrees higher. Also if you run the temperature control bar all the way up to the top of the red on the passenger's side it seems to get stuck even if you bring it all the way back down into the blue it still shoots out maximum hot air. It does this until you shut the truck down and restart it. It seems to only do this with the heater on. I haven't noticed it with the A/C on.

About 3 months ago they had to replace the Body Control Module. Would this have something to do with the temperature problems? I am wondering if this is something I can correct myself or do I need to take it in.

Thanks,

Scott

Does anyone have any input on this problem? I need to find a solution to this problem before something more expensive happens! I found a truck in the local pick-a-part that has the same climate control system. I might be able to get the proper parts off of it if I knew what to look for.
