KC Light Bar

Has anyone used or is anyone using the KC Light bar? Part # 7445

I'd be using this on my '03 Silverado 1500

 

In short I'm looking for a good place to mount my KC lights without loosing my tow hooks. I'd love to get the ARB, Trailready, or Ranch Hand, but with my project Jeep XJ... I just don't have that kinda cash. I also will not install anything like the Westin/Go Rhino/Manik guards, because honestly they either look like they belong on a "yuppy soccer mom's ride" or they take away my tow hooks.

Right I gave Summit a call yesterday to see if they could get the #7445 as the #7441 only works up to 2002 Silverado's according to KC. The link was only to show a picture of the product as well. I most likly wouldn't have bought it direct from KC.

 

Any experience with the bars?

i ;am looking for one too. what did you learn/decide? i have a tahoe z71 in white. don't like the full brush, so a light bar or bumper guard is desired. thx, dave

I have one, and love it. Installation was easy. Use KC lights though and not Daystars or something as the KC's have a larger mounting bolt (fits the hole on the KC bar) and the wiring harness is very easy to install, and requires no cutting, soldering, or crimping. I took the rocker switch out of the bracket and mounted it directly on the dash. See my pix in the gallery.

 

These lights have saved my life countless times, and the lives of countless deer and elk. I love 'em.
