Child Safety Seat Brackets.  I have them on my passenger seat and was told that's what they are.  I feel for those who ordered black leather interior......

That stinks...FYI They don't stick in your passenger's butt, no interference there, but they certainly aren't very attractive.

Are your trucks 2002's?  My '01 LT crewcaab doesn't have them and I have the graphite leather, so I think I would have noticed them....

Shaners - Mine's a 2001 GMC 2500HD Ex Cab it was a Canadian Build and I think their safty restraint requirements are a little different from ours the belts have to be in the seat, not attached to the cab.  I wonder if the Crew Cabs don't have the brackets because there's a full size seat in the rear?  A car seat would probably go in the back seat, so no need for the brackets?  In the Ex cab, I think the car seat is supposed to go in the front?  Don't have any babies so I can't say for sure. :)  :D

lauriet1,

I have the front buckets in my truck and the belts are in the seat.  However, since I have a crewcab, I have no optional airbag off switch, so the child seat must go in the back.

I think that they added these late in '01.  There are also 3 metal brackets by just above the rear seat by the back window to attach restraints also in the extended cab.  Not sure about the crew cabs.  My '99 did not have these.
