engine running rough pulled codes p1133, p0300, p0171, p0131 they say engine running lean, random misfire, air/fuel metering problem, and o2 sensor circuit low volts bank1 sensor1. they read as follows

o2s11 .00v, o2s12 .935v, o2s21.1 to .8v, o2s22 .6v. these were taken at idle. I do not know what they are supposed to be reading, or which one is which. Any help?

It would help if you could give a little more information.

What vehicle.engine.

How many miles on it.

How is it maintained.

If around 80K or more, your o2 sensors are likely having trouble. A good test would be to swap the two front o2 sensors and see if the code switched to the other bank. If not, it is not likely the sensors. If it moves to the other side, it is likely a bad sensor. Replace them in pairs IMO. Also check to make sure the wires from the sensor are not touching anything.

Other things to consider for the general rough idle include plugs and wires if not changed in a while.

I thought I gave pretty good information. I was looking for help such as bank1 sensor 1 is upstream sensor on drivers side. Or help like 0s sensor should never read 0.00 volts. To look for a disconnected of chafed wire I did not think even required mentioning.

Anyway bank1 sensor 1, I belive is the upstream drivers side sensor. Replaced same, only one due to price. Hopefully problem is corrected. Thanks to everyone for jumping in to help out, what big help you all were.

With an attitude like yours, I think it is safe to assume you won't be back here looking for help. Have a nice day and good luck with your truck.

Good thing most of the people on this board are good folks.

My question was not directed to you, it was directed to the people on this board that have a clue. Read the post again. Year, make and model given, with exact fault codes. If I was looking for things like check plugs or look for loose wires, I do not belong touching my vehicle.

Tom,

I do not see any information about the year, model, or engine size in this post or in your user info. Everyone on this bbd is attempting to be as helpful as possible. I have seen many very informative and helpful posts by Bish. I am sorry if you did not find his post helpful, however a level or cordiality is imperative if this forum is to be useful to its 20,000+ users. I recognize that at times it can be frustrating when you are in the middle of sorting out a problem to feel that you are not being heard. However, remember that everyine else on this site has also had to deal with their issues and they are just like you, not anonymous beings. Tread lightly. I have been on line since 1979 and on bbds since 1988. A poor attitude will not get you where you want to go.

Oops. Missed this on the post title. I guess that I need to start responding before putting in long days so I don't miss the details. Glad it worked out.

When you have that many codes, the first thing I do is erase ALL the codes, keep your scanner plugged in and start the engine. See which code fires up the MIL first and go from their. For example, a lean condition..... can cause a misfire......... that can overheat the cat .....
