clang coming from the dash

hey everyone, i have been noticing alot of soft noices lately (i thnk partially to the cold weather -15) but one noise stands out the most its a clang clunk thing coming from the dash that kinda rattles alot, especially over bumps. it sounds like it coming from the area of the cd player but im not totally sure, all the cars in the area are acting funny right now so i jsut thought i would throw it out there has anyone had or know of a problem that is common like this? the only other option i have is to dig through the dash or take it to the dealer. im also wondering if it has anything to do with best buy pulling apart my dash a long time ago or my dealer pulling apart my dash to fix my speedo. really pissed right now i hate rattles.

its either the flux capaciter or the warp core. i wouldnt worry about it

whats the price to fix and how easy. it bugs the crap out of me sometime i can hear it with the radio playing decently loud!

Make sure that it isn't as simple as something rattling in the glovebox or ash tray...

 

I had a rattle appear in the dash of my '04. Investigation found a spare house key in the ash tray that someone else had put in there, but forgot to tell me about.

Flux capacitors are pretty cheap and easy. If it's the warp core you're in a lot of trouble. Good luck.

hey i noticed its only in the cold like today after school but if its been in warmer air it does not do this

Back in the '50's my grandpa sold Mg's and every so often for fun he and some buddies would pull a fender and hang a washer or a nut by a string inside and put the fender back on then sell the car. A few days later the owner would bring the car in because of a mysterious 'clanging' noise. Took them like 30 seconds to remove the washer and the owner would be so grateful that they 'fixed' the rattle. I guess things got real slow at the Mg dealer. Funny as heck though.

I get the same ratteling but right on the driver side sound like one othe metal mouts holding it or the plate humm i need to check out if their anymore lose parts under my dash.
