Well, i've been telling myself i wanted a digital camera for about 6 months now, but have never found one i like, or that was a good price. Finaly Sony came out with something that i liked! The DSC-S75. I ordered it online at ecost.com just a few minutes ago, and it should be here tomorrow morning!

I've heard that the lenses on the Sony's and HP's are actually plastic rather than glass. Not sure if it's true or not. I really want to see some of the pics when you get it. I'm sure that you'll be taking pics of everything:)

Cool. I'm trying to get our resource advisor at work to authorize me to buy a new one and I think I'm going to get a DSC-S50, S70, or S75, depending on how much $ he authorizes me. We have and OLD one and use it alot for training and competitions, so we'll eventually get one. I might have to accidentally bring it home and use it every once in a while. :wink:

I think that GM-trucks.com should buy a new one for forum use. We could keep it at my house. Honest. I wouldnt use it. Much. Congrats on the camera. I have one and we use it all the time. They have come a long way. The pictures rival my 35mm.

Congrats on buying a camera!! Do you know what memory stick it comes with? I bought an extra 8MB stick for mine. I set the pics at 640x480 which work perfect for web pics, and I can take pictures all day long. I bet it can hold 50+ pics. Just a suggestion for ya. Have fun with it.

It comes with an 8mb card, but i also bought a 32mb card to go with it. I want to be able to take several hundred pictures at one session.

The camera was a great deal al ecost.com. They are the best place to get stuff online, IMHO.

The Camera was ?, and the Card was ?. No to shabby. I should be getting it very soon!(within a few hours!)

I'll let you all know how it works!

Well i got it!!!! Whoo HOO!! :biggrin:

First Impressions are that it is VERY small! I'm afraid that i'm going to lose one of the memory cards. The 32mb card will hold 145 600x800 pictures, on the "high quality" setting. The "Standard" setting will hold over twice that much, about 400 pictures! I'll have to see what setting i should use.

Only problem now, is that my father's laptop is the only computer we have that has a USB port, and he's in Las Vegas untill tonight. So i won't be able to post any pictures today. :(The instructions are VERY good. I set up the camera with all the settings i wanted in less than 5 mintues, no problems.

I can't wait to get some pictures up tomorrow.

SOny makes a great digital camera and I'm sure you'll love it. I have an Epson that I bought about 3 years ago and it's worked great all along. My best resolution is only 1024x780 so I can't print "photo quality" any larger than a 5x7. A 5x7 print with my 6-color Epson printer looks like I had it made at a developers though. You'll find that the lowest resolution is where you'll want to keep it for posting on the net. Otherwise youyr images are too large (bytes) and require too long of a load time.
