What would be the cheapest, easiest little things i can do to improve power/performance?

 

For example, with the Dodge 5.7L V8's, adding a cooler thermostat helps a LOT

 

This is in a 5.3L 2005

Definately a tune from wait4meperformance.com. I have one and its great. Either that or your next bet would be a K&N intake but that costs more than the tune and the tune is a better upgrade.

Intake, exhuast, TBS, and a tune.

A tune is a must on these trucks IMO.. A lot of HP and drivability left on the table by GM..

Yes it is a replacement PCM tuned to your trucks VIN number with the tweeks you prefer. He was 158.10 shipped to door and still may be.

 

As far as the other tuners I have yet to see where spending 300 plus is of any advantage over the wait4meperformance tune...

I have a hypertech for my 5.3 and notice a difference. is the waitforme better?

By far, a custom tune is better than a handheld programmer. There are just too many variables in the computer that the handheld cannot change.

But is it possible to get better MPG and more HP?
