Build up of ice/snow along with defroster causing a water leak?

Hey guys,

I've got a new 07 2500HD Classic and today I noticed that the carpet on the passenger side was wet along with the padding underneath. Now, I only have 1100 mi on the truck. I live in MD where last week we got a tremendous amount of ice. I literally had 2-3" of ice built up at the base of my widshield and it took a few days before I could get it all out becasue the temps were so cold. I did drive the truck a lot and use the defroster. Could the build up of ice have caused the defroster drain to back up and possibly flow into the cab? We haven't had any rain just ice so I'm assuming it's not a water leak from outside. I also washed the truck today, finally, and didn't notice any water on the floor boards.

I let the truck run today with the heat and was able to get the carpet and padding dry. Drove the truck tonight and used the defroster as well and so far so good. I'm hoping it had to do with all that build up of ice. Anyone experience that before? Thanks in advance!

**As a side note, when I was able to finally start getting the ice out I do remember pulling out a good chunk and seeing a lot of water drain out behind the mudflap, but that was on the driver's side. My thinking is that there was a lot of water in there from the ice and it eventually found it's wya into the cab. Not sure.
