diesel cold air intake suggestions

I've been going through all of the posts to help me choose an intake for my 2006 Sierra with the LBZ diesel. I've read alot of comments about Volant, K&N etc. Is there is reason nobody has mentioned the Banks or Bully Dog systems? I am new to diesels and would like to know if they are good names or do they just have good PR companies to hype them? I am looking for better milage, especially when towing, more so then performance.

I hate all of Bully Dogs crap. We sell it at work and it all gets returned. AFE is gonna get my vote for intakes. Their exhaust is nice too and inexpensive with a downpipe. I cannot and will not recommend K&N anything to anyone. Far as diesel exhaust goes.... MBRP, Magnaflow, Corsa are nice setups. Banks stuff is all overpriced.

Thanks for your input. I always wonder when the big names are twice the cost of everyone else if the money went to advertising!

Gotta pay for that name man. Seemed that BullyDog and Banks are about the worst when it comes to that.

Not sure if this helps due to a motor difference but, my dad has an 01 duramax and i convinced him to put on a k&n intake for it and it and he really likes it. Slight power gain noticed and that lovely whistle of the turbo that we all love got a little more noticable.
