I just bought a new 2007 GMC 2500 HD Classic. At night I cannot shut the Headlamps off when I have it sitting when warming up( all the lights are on ). Is there a way I can shut them off in park. BTW this is a Canadian truck. Thanks

If you turn your headlamp switch to the left (counterclockwise) the lights will go out on US models and I hope Canadian too. The switch will spring back to the right but it's ok. You would do the same to turn them back on again. On the GM Canada site it's indicated by an open circle or "o".

If it's there that should disable the lights.

Yup on US models this is how it works. On canadian models nothing happens, it just springs back, lights stay on. In my manual it says that this is how it is on Canadian trucks( some Law I guess) on new trucks. I need to find out how to make it like a US truck. I just dont need my lights on when im warming up the truck.

Canada has a law that you must have DRL so defeating it would be probably get you a ticket. The US system defeats the DRL also.

You can just apply the hand brake before starting and your headlights will no go on.
