Billet Grill Install

Hey ppl!

How difficult if it to install a grill insert? I just bought a classic billet for my 1999 Sierra from Carriage. The online instructions look straight forward. Any tips and comments are appreciated!

I don't think you would have any problem at all, especially if you get one that is the overlay type that just bolts right on.

The insert type that requires cutting out the old grille first does require a little more skill and a fair amount of time to do it properly. I am assuming this is what you have. Just follow the instructions and don't rush it and you should be fine.

BTW, I recently installed a T-Rex full insert billet grille that required cutting out the honeycomb AND the center part of the bar. Went step by step and it came out primo.

Good luck.

I did my own billet grill. It was the full insert, not the strap-on. It took about an hour, You do have to cut your stock grill, so its not for the weak hearted!, but I think it looks alot better than the ones that just go over the stock grill!
