Checked the cummins web page and google searched the topic.

Looks like you have found your answer. So just use AmsOil and quit worrying about this. I'm beginning to wonder if you are obsessive compulsive.

This is an independent Amsoil site. This is the site owners opinion and is not Amsoil the corp. opinion. He is not correct about the molly. Molly used in any oil including Royal Purple is not grafite based but is liquid and will not fall out of suspension.

Amsoil is MLM and some of the salesman will say just about anything to get you to buy their oil.

Have a great day,

Probably doesn't apply to their gear oil, but I'm running royal purple in the rear diff and amsoil in the front diff. I'll check them in 20K and see how they look.

You can't gop wrong with either oil. Really

Both oils are some of the best on the market. Its really not that big of a deal. M1, Amsoil, RP, are all good stuff, neither is far superior to the other. Some people put waaay too much thought into this simple stuff...it reminds me of air intakes.

:withstupid: I agree, people think way too long with this stuff. Buy wal-mart brand. It will lubricate also. The key is to have fresh oil, so change it often, and you will never have an oil related problem.

What is used in motor oil is Molybdenum Dithiocarbamate (MOTDC).

Try this site if I can get it to work

You are right about the blow hards, but there are about 4 to 5 people who actually are engineers or blenders in the oil industory and know what they are talking about.

You have to sort out the usefull information and disreguard the rest.

Have a great day,

Looks like a typical amsoil site to me. If you seen one you've seen them all.....
