I Am F@@king Pissed

So i ordered my truck 3 months ago, along with all the accessories that i wanted. 3 weeks ago, he tells me that my truck was built, so i went over with him again the accessories that i wanted, fine no problem he says, it ll be done. My truck arrives last friday, i go n see it the following day, i tell him that i want it by friday next week. No problem he says, it ll be done! I call him and ask if my truck is still going to be done by friday, he says sure, no problem. I stop by the dealer tonite and see the service manager, my truck has nothing done to it but the step bars put on, i have chrome door handles, mirror caps, bed rug, tonneau cover, bug deflector to be put on yet. He says it wont all be done this week, he tells me some of the parts were only ordered today!! The reason i ordered my truck and the accessories at the same time, is that i would get my truck, and it would be customized just the way i wanted it when i picked it up. Its a long weekend this weekend, and i am pissed that it wont be done on time. What do you guys think? Bulls**t rite?

That sucks dude. Hopefully they hurry up and get it right. Be sure to walk the truck really good and inspect for dings or scratches before taking delivery.

raise hell they will give you a discount to get you out of there!! no more than what you have to install they could knock that out in half a day................ i would have raised hell today and had them overnite everything to install tomorrow. find the general manager and jump his butt. then they will get it done asap!!

hey man I would be in that place first thing in the morning and be all over the gen. manager. that is ridiculous. you ordered it long enough ago so you can get exactly what you want. you have check up on it throughout the whole process and apparently been lied to. I would have a fit. For as much as you are paying for this truck you for d@mn sure have the right to get it on time and exactly how you want it. I would tell the manager the truck price is going down 100 dollars for every hour that it is not in your hands. Including weekends. Your time is expensive. Tell him that and see what his sorry but has to say. I feel for you man and I have no tolerance for stupid people. That is my 2 cents anyway.

I agree, my dealer pre-ordered ALL of my accessories and they recieved the truck on a Wed, I picked it up on Sat (it was done on Fri though). So, in 2 days they installed the step bars, hood deflector, Access tonneau cover, Remote start AND had to send it over to the local Line-X to have the bedliner sprayed in. You can print this out and take it to your dealer and tell them what their competition is doing for their customers.

Just goes to show you that the salesman doesn't talk to the service management. The salesman's main job is to nod his head so he gets high marks...

 

While your expectations were shaped by the salesman, I'd go in on Friday and talk to the salesman and say well we're here to pickup our truck ! She ready ?

 

The answer will be no...then I'd raise a little hell..."I took time off of work etc etc etc"... and demand something for your time...

 

i.e. free oil changes for a year, or something reasonable...

 

But always remember.....salesmen are there for sales....they will promise you what ever they can to make the sale...that's their job...then onto the next fish....

 

Service is there for service, and the demands and satisfaction are key so they don't get recalls.. sometime that takes more unanticipated time...schedules slide, parts are delayed...

 

but in this situation...it's clear the salesman shot his mouth off and didn't coordinated with service....

 

I'd rip em a new a$$hole....

When they call you to tell you your truck is ready, tell them that it was supposed to be done 2 weeks ago. I thought you forgot about me so I'm walking out the door to (insert other dealership here) and sign the papers for my new truck. They had what I wanted and put all the goodies on today, talk about service!

 

See if he'll cut you a better deal on your truck if you go back.
