Factory Electric Cooling Fans 05 Up 1/2 Tons, 6.0 Max

Does anyone know when factory electric cooling fans come on? I installed them on my 05 1500 HD 6.0 CC. Bought on e bay complete except for harness and relays, got those from nelson. Which he has them set to come on over 200 degrees at low speed, and right fan to come on at high speed if a/c compressor is on. My concern is that they will burn up and/or fail from running once truck is warm, I would think that the fans should be hooked to a a/c pressure switch and come on when a/c high pressure goes over 250 pounds with both fans coming on at low speed. I guess what my real question is how does g.m. have them work?

From what I read on the Nelson wiring harness for these fans. They will come on when the AC is on. That is if the harness has pins that you put into connectors for the PCM & you had it reprogrammed to control the fans.

Speaking of electric fans......

Has anyone on this list added an auxiliary pusher fan to help boost A/C cooling performance and engine/trans. cooling at slower speeds and when sitting still (like in traffic.)

I'm considering one if y'all say it will help. I would figure on wiring it to come on only when the A/C compressor is on, unless there is a high-pressure switch to tap into....
