Taylor Ignition Wires

Recommended Posts

When I purchased my Z06 camshaft, a set a nearly new Taylor PRO 8.0mm ignition wires were thrown in. My question is: will they work properly on my truck?

These wires were on a 2001 Corvette Z06.

Thanks.

I have absolutely no time for this install and I am going to sell it, PM me if you are interested.

Thats bad news. If i had the extra cash laying around to pay for the installation i would do it in a second. Good luck.

Taylor Wires are junk, I went though 2 sets of them on the Zedder before i went to MSD 8.5 mm wires. Best money every spent on ignition crap besides my MSD box and pro billet distributor.

It is odd how many different opinions you can get on product brands. Of course my Taylor's are only about a year old and they simply run up and down the paved road and are not in a HP application. However, the speed shop that sold them to me sells MSD and Taylors and they are located about 3 miles from a very popular dirt track. The Manager told me they sell 3 to 1 Taylors over MSDs to the dirt racers simply because they hold up under the conditions of a dirt track.

I made my decision on Taylors based off the above info and the fact that they are 100% American made with US material and their Customer Service guy was super nice to me when I called them for information. The MSD CS rep could not speak English and offered almost no inforation.

Cory, I am not putting down your MSD wires, I have never owned any. I am glad they work well for you.

I have Taylor 8.2's on my truck and coupled with my Iridium plugs they work great. I know there are plenty of good wires out there from MSD and others and I agree that I won't put them down either. I have even used Accel wires and had good results. I guess you can get a lemon in anything you buy. For now, I am sticking with my Taylors.
