Anyone Order A Nbs Truck?

I ordered a NBS Crew Cab Vmax about 5 weeks ago, just wondering what the normal wait is when you order a truck the way you want it??? There were only 2 Vmax's around here and they were wrong color and I dont want a decked out LTZ so I had to order mine. When I ordered there was only a week or two left to order 07's so hopefully I get a desent rebate by the time it gets here! Can't wait!!

I placed my order on 9 April and I got an email today from the dealer letting me know it had been delivered. It took about four weeks for it to go into production, then another 4 weeks to be delivered. Of course, I don't get home from Korea until the end of the month, so I just get to dream about it until then.

Back when they first came out it took about 7-8 weeks for mine to arrive.

Mine arrived exactly 3 weeks from the day I ordered it. When I was shopping around for the truck, I was told anywhere from 4-8 weeks, depending on which dealership I asked.

I ordered mine before they started producing the CC, LBs so it took a little while. The rest of the trucks that I've ordered have taken about 6-7 weeks.

My dealer said it could take 6-8 weeks, but mine arrived in exactly 4 wks, on my birthday!

9 weeks for my Sierra Crew Cab with 6.0L and 4.10's. Ordered middle of March and took delivery in May.

 

There were some discussions on this board in May about 6.0L crews only being built in Mexico. Mine came from Oshawa, Ontario.

Exactly 8 weeks from order date to delivery on mine (Early Jan to Early March). My crew cab 6.0L was built in Canada as well and it's just about perfect.

nevermind I'll be waiting even longer now! The dealer "cant find" my truck in the computer....so now I think I'll push them for a good deal on an 08 or just order the GMC instead!

Take your paperwork from the 07 Chevy deal to the GMC dealer and they will match it, you will probably not get the rebates/incentives though. How much rebate/incentive were you expecting on the 07?

well right now they have 1500 dollar rebate in my area. I also get the GM employee discount so thats like another 3500 off retail

But you won't lose that. For $1500, I would go for the 08 GMC. You will save 1 year's depreciation right off the bat. You may not even lose the $1500 if they have any rebates at all on the 08's. You may get $500-$1000 on the 08's.

you're right, I can wait till september for the truck I want...I wonder how much more it costs to get the bucket seats......Hey do u know the diff from the 6.2 to the 6.0? Why doesn't it tow more weight?

The big difference is that the 6.2 only gets 3.42 gears which gives you 8400-8600 max trailer weight while the 6.0 gets either 3.73s (8500-8700 w/o NHT pkg or 10,200 w/ NHT pkg) or 4.10s (10,500 lbs w/ NHT). NHT is the Max Towing Package.

You cannot get the NHT max trailering pkg with 3.73's, it includes 4.10's only.
