i bought this grille b/c i'm not a big fan of billet grilles... plus every other truck in my town has one. other than the optional OEM grille with giant holes, there aren't many choices. thought i'd take a chance on this one. after installing, this grille has been offically labeled 'temporary' in my book! why?

quality- this grille is way too thin & flimsy. i wanted to remove the factory black grille completely, but if i had i swear the wind would have bent this thing in!

fit- it basically fits the opening, after you spend 15 mins bending the edges & forcing it into place. the mounting clips & screws.. you can throw them away, they're worthless. if you've done custom work before, you can make this grille fit. if this is your 1st time, do not buy this grille. mine is held in place with an assortment of screws & zip ties. i know that sounds bad, but you really can't tell, even close up, unless you pop the hood. only real evidence of my jigga riggin job is 2 ties near the hood latch.

finish- maybe the only good thing about this grille. chome looks genuine & well done... only time will tell if i'm correct.

look- from distance, this thing looks great! but close up i'm not a fan of the black factory grille right being. like i said, i had planned on removing it, but with this grille that's not practical.

verdict- if you have to have a grille other than billet & don't mind leaving the factory grille in place... oh & also don't mind forcing spending 30 mins forcing this thing into place, than this grille is for you! for the other 98% out there, don't waste your money on this grille! aftermarket denali style grille can't come out soon enough!

* - Sport Truck Direct of Phoenix, AZ sucks!!!

shipped grille in plastic bag then put in box way too big w/ no padding! only sent 1/2 of the instructions. only documentation from STD was a photo copy of a receipt (the same kind the gas pump spits out). no emails ever sent! order number, reciept, tracking numbers, nothing! very unprofessional in my opinion!

Also, keep in mind cleaning this type of grill. I have seen and liked a few "mesh" style grills, but can you imagine trying to clean dead bugs/bees out of it?

Suggestion: In 2008 models, GMs going to be offering a new "Eddie Bauer" type appearance pkg, I cannot recall the name of it, but it is going to include a different grill. I saw a pic of it and it looks REALLY nice. It is basically a 4-bar vs a 3 bar grille and the bars are chrome. If it looks as good as the pic I saw, I may just sell the billet grill and order me one up. I will try to find the pic I saw of this post it....

Edit: Found it!!! It's called the "All Terrain" package..here's a pic...
