Nnbs Drivetrain Hesitation/clunk

I just picked up a 2007 Vortecmax Silverado 4x4 last week and am noticing a significant hesitation/metallic bang when you hit the gas in tow/haul mode. Anyone else have something like this?

If you're in tow/haul mode, get off the gas and let it coast for a few seconds, then hit the gas pedal again there is a signifcant pause before the drivetrain suddenly catches and the truck slams forward. Any TSB's or fixes?

Edit: Whoops, wrong forum, can a mod move this to ask a GM tech?

Dan,

In Tow/Haul mode, the lockup clutch in the torque converter is kept unlocked until you reach highway speeds.

If you do like you said (coast then apply power), when you coast the clutch definitely gets unlocked, then this unloads the drivetrain. When you apply power, you're taking up all the slack in the drivetrain, which may cause a thump or clunk.

Since this is a new truck (?), I guess you shouldn't need to check the U-joints. How many miles on it?
