Om ny 04 burb the other day on a mega humid NY day , I had the AC on low and a vapor came out of one of the AC vents. My first thought was heater core , but it had no smell at all. Has anyone ever had that happened? When I put the AC back on high it went away. just wondering

In the deep south where everyday is "mega humid" we call this "throwing snowballs". I have heard this term used many times aroud the Automotive Industry to describe an A/C system when it is working really well. I do not think you have anything to worry about.

My '99 and '04 would do that every once-in-awhile,Nothing to worry about.

But, it could also mean you have a Evap leak. It wouldn't hurt to get you system checked, you should have the AC system checked every so often anyway.

Its the same thing that comes out of the freezer when you are standing there with the door open looking for the ice cream. It means you should be at home with a beer in your hand not doing any work. Its too darn hot and sticky to do anything.

Today I again was forced to return to my dealer to have my new '07 Sierra serviced. The A/C periodically starts blowing warm stinky smelling air. I have set the A/C to automatic, to manual, modified the temp controls but it does not effect the system. It continues to blow the warm stinky air for a number of minutes then suddenly switches back. At no time does it really blow cold like it should. I have only 2000 miles on this new vehicle and am stumped as is the dealers. They flashed the system with a firmware upgrade but to no avail. These major problems and more are ruining my experience with GM.

The "fog" happened to me on Saturday for the first time. It wasn't humid or anything. About 85 degrees out. I had the ac running, shut it off for about 30 seconds and then back on again and what I thought at first was a bunch of smoke blasted out all the vents. Scared the crap out of me for a second before I realized what it was. (wouldn't be the first time I've seen one of my chevys on fire) I was gonna write a post about it but obviously someone beat me to it.

Has anyone checked the A/C cycling switch?
