A burb won't give you the convenince of taking the top off when you don't need it for easier loading.  It has it's pros and cons.

I like it.  Some of the appeal has to be the color-matched cladding.  I wonder what they did about the hole in the side of the "razor back".  It looks like it has a window in it, but I have no idea how you'd keep it in there and/or leak free.

The real question is how did they paint the plastic?

actually, the plastic is not all that hard to paint, you do it essentially the same way as you would interior trim.  Pretty much every sema avy had the plastic painted.  Most body shops will do it for you.

Guys:

That topper was made by SnugTop.  They don't have anything on their website ( http://www.snugtop.com ) so I don't know if they are selling them yet.  I don't know how the window is fastened into the Sail Panel, but there is definitely a window there (I saw a bunch of pictures on SEMA's website the week of the show but couldn't find them when I looked now.)

I too wonder how they went about painting that cladding. I asked my local chevy bodyshop about what it would take to paint the cladding. They said it would be very difficult not to mention very expensive. All of the cladding would have to be removed and sanded to a smooth texture in order to give a nice finish. Also said they weren't sure if there is a good enough primer to make the paint adhere to the plastic.

Could you imagine the amount of labor to sand all of that cladding? Not sure if it would give an "even" look on all of the cladding. I guess if you have the money and are willing to take a chance with a 35k vehicle then go for it but it would make me concerned that it might not look so good after spending all of that money.

I like it a lot.

I work out of mine.

And keeping my tools and the noise of them

shifting around seperated in the rear with the mid gate

and window is nice.

But it appears that you loose the use of the side boxes.
