Whats The Cca On A Oem Battery?

well after 4 years my OEM battery is about fried, just wondering what the CCA on those factory ones were, im looking into an interstate battery, or if i can find one, a CAT battery!!!!!

I don't remember what stock CCA is, but most GOOD aftermarket batteries will have at least 850 CCA. There are only a handfull of battery manufacturers in the US, so the brand of the battery is not a huge deal since most of them are the same. The exception is Optima, which is a dry cell. Unless you race, I would advise you get whatever is closest to you and has 850 or more CCA for the best price.

Not sure what the 2500's had, but my 1500 had a 600CCA. I replaced it in the first year with a 1000CCA...starts much better when it's cold out. ;)

Thanks guys i ended up going with a interstate with 700 CCA. i got it at cost because we sell them at my 2nd job (RV dealership)

You will be happy with the Interstate, they are a good quality battery. Just a little FYI, if you get ready to buy another one and want one built 100% in the USA, find a battery made by East Penn Mfg. Their own brand name is Deka, they supply us (CARQUEST) in almost every state, however their there are some pockets with other brands. They are also Original Equipment on Catepillar so you joking said you wanted a CAT battery, you can have one. East Penn also supplies some if not all of Harley Davidson's batteries and they produce 100% of their batteries, including the case, right here in the good old USA.
