What Is Required To Pull Fuel Pump/sensor Out

I saw some people lift up the bed, and some drop the fuel tank. Mines almost empty, like 3 gallons in it, and its going to be sitting for a few weeks while Im driving a company truck all the time. So ill have some time to fix the sending unit sensor that bugs the crap out of me. Id replace the pump at the same time, but it hasnt given me any problems, and is relatively quiet. Too expensive to go replacing that when its not broke, yet. So what in tools do I need to drop the tank, and is there any wires, etc to watch for, any tips, I rather not lift the bed, as my bedliner is semi perminatenly in there, but I can remove it if I really have to. Also whats the part number on a 99 for the sending unit sensor. Id rather buy a GM part, then order one off ebay. Its 30 bucks shipped on ebay.

You will have no problems removig the bed. All the bolts are underneath. Unplug the main wiring harness at the rear, unhook fuel filler neck, and slide the bed back a little bit. One man job.

How far back is the connector to disconnect the wiring harness? How many bolts hold the bed on? Just want to do it right and not run into any problems. How far back, like a few inches or a foot?
