I know the current offer of $500 on the 08's is due to expire on the 4th of September, does anyone working at a dealer have any info about new incentives or rebates that'll be coming?

No news as of yet, but unless your looking for a specific 08 color, why not pull the trigger on an 07 with the huge rebates / or 0%?

My father and me usually go for the lastest model year available, its worth more at the current moment, and they usually make you feel better that you have the newer one.

Whos they? and why would you worry about what other people think? 07 is the first year for this body style and I'm sure it will stick around for a good 4-5 years. Other then a new color or 2, there is zero change for 08. If your not concerned with saving money, then by all means, buy an 08.

NO.........THEY meaning the thing you purchased, the almost 40 grand my father purchased on a impulse buy wasnt so bad considering that its a reliable vehicle now and it was fresh of the truck, when we got it.

One other reason is that you are essentially buying a one year old vehicle. This does matter when it comes to time to sell or trade. Me? I bought my 04 in August of 04 when the 05's were coming out. I will be keeping mine long past the time that trade-in values matter.

Plus right now you also get $1,000.00 towards accessories. It works out a a really sweet deal.

Do you have this in writing somewhere. Before buying mine I made sure that I looked for all applicable incentives before I bought, but never remember seeing this offer anywhere. Maybe it was a local dealership add in?

I bought my 2007 Silverado on Aug. 18 from Harbor Chevrolet in Long Beach, CA. THe internet sales guy I worked with told me it was a national promotion that started 1 or 2 days previous to the date I purchased the truck. I think it's part of the Chevy Model Year End Event promotion. I didn't know about the accessories promotion and the only hitch was I had to decide right then which accessories I wanted. I took step rails, mud flaps and bed rug.

Why not buy an 07 and tell "Them" it's a 2008!

Isn't the first model year of any vehicle usually the ones that they use to work out all the bugs and quirks?.........would the 08's be improved any?.......I know the GMT900 have only been out for a bit and the only thing I have heard more than once is a problem with an oil/tranny fluid leak.....coming from the back of the motors.
