Level Kit Tire Question?

Can I go 33x12.50x17 with a level kit or not? Has anyone had any experience...maybe use some spacers to space out the stock rim?

I sure wouldn't go with spacers and an oversized tire. Seems like the stress on the lug studs would be inviting a wheel to leave the vehicle unexpectedly. Depending on your speed at the time, this might be entertaining and/or exciting for a minute but the end result might not be good. All a spacer does is make something "fit" that really doesn't fit.

Proper offset wheels are cheap insurance and you'll be more likely to live to tell your grandkids about it.

I have been looking at some 16x8 Helo rims with 4.5" backspace 0 offset or -12mm offset...which one would be better?

New Body GM trucks need zero or a little positive offset or the wheels stick out too far. If you like that look it's ok but the further they stick out, the more likely they are to rub when you turn. My 20x9s are +30 offset. I would think an 8 inch wide wheel would be ok with 0 to +12 offset but I would recommend confirming that with the seller.

I run 305/50R20's on my GMT900 with a 2" leveling kit from Rough Country and they fit great. They fit before the leveling kit but just barely. I'd say (guessing, didn't measure except by eye) I gained an extra 1/2" to 3/4" clearance front to back. 305/50R20 equates to about a 32X12R20 if there were such a thing.

Hey Daddy... How wide are those wheels? Your tires look like they fit them perfectly. You and that darn good looking truck.

They are an 8.5" wheel with +18 offset. The new leveling kit makes all the difference.
