Just normal paved road driving.

 

How often does one get an alignment?

 

When buying new tires. Every two years? When something is wrong with truck or tires?

 

What is the average price in your area for an alignment?

Normally part of scheduled maint. Think that's around 15k or so... maybe 30k.

 

And, I'll also get an alignment if I get new wheels/tires and/or if I notice it's not driving right, pulls to one side, etc.

 

Like right now, its pulling to the right, which is why it'll be going in for an alignment on Monday. And have them fix some other noises and stuff while its there...

 

If it's done at the dealer, they haven't charged me yet (under warranty). Otherwise, typical alignment at other shops is about $50 or so. Of course, they'll make their money on repairs needed to perf alignment is something is broken.

I just got one today,Of course the main reason I got one was because I installed a leveling kit last week.

Cost me $36.00 where I always go,And I usually get one every 15-20,000 miles or when I notice it pulling or illregular tire wear.

My '99 has 100,000 miles and I have never had an alignment done. My tires wear perfectly evenly and there's no pulling left or right. "If your alignments not broke, don't fix it."

Unless I have a problem or do some suspension tinkering I never see the alignment man. In hundreds of thousands of miles I've had a few done after lifting or lowering a vehicle... that's all.

 

Never any problems wearing out tires or pulling. Sometimes "maintenance" is just another pretty way for the shops to make money without having to actually fix anything.

I'm like these other cats, I had a 100,000 on my 88 4x4 and never had it aligned, I've got 94,000 on my 2000 and never had it aligned, tires wear great and even, dosen't pull , I have had one of my classics aligned but the tires where wearing funny,if your getting aligned every year your also getting screwed every year.
