Factory Radio Swap

Did some digging today and found out that while the two decks are physically interchangable they are NOT directly swappable. A service guy told me that the wiring harnesses were different. I could make my own harness I suppose if I could get my hands on the connectors needed and the diagrams for both. I found a deck used on Ebay, and I could do it the hard way and get my guy here at work to take a look at it, electrical engineer also owns a gmt-900, but if ANYONE would be willing/able to get a diagram for either side of this swap it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh

You still looking for a factory CD/MP3 player? I have the original one that came out of my truck (2007 NBS GMC). It has the double slot for the Cd and for the DVD that feeds the Rear seat entertainment screen. PM me if you are interested. Chad

Also, I switched out this unit for the factory NAV unit. All of the harnesses were plug & play, if that helps you.

My 2007 NBS WT had just an AM/FM stereo. I upgraded to a factory AM/FM/CD/DVD/XM model like rex has. You have to get the dealer to flash the radio, to accept the VIN of your truck. Also, my dealer stated, that my truck wasn't built/wired for the radio upgrade. Everything works, accept I have no door chimes or turn signal chimes. My dealer maybe screwed up, or it might actually be the case; you may loose your beep and chimes!!
