Diesel Or Gas

I am new here and thinking about a new gm truck. I have a 02 GMC 4 Door 4x4 with a 6.0 gas Engine. This truck is a daily driver and I get 12 mpg in town. I have heard that the diesel trucks get a lot better millage and have more power for towing. I live in Las Vegas and pull my trailer with 3 quads on it. We travel to utah, Calif, Az. With my truck on the road if I hit a grade I have to really have to lay into it to keep my speed. So What do you think would be better overall Diesel or gas.

Better milage

way easier and cheaper to make big power.

Once you go to a diesel you will never go back. This is my first and it is great. I get 17 to 20 mpg w/o my camper on it and 14/16 with it on. plus the power is awesome.

There really is no comparison, I won't ever go back to gas. More power, better mileage, and smiles on tap anytime you want one, just push on the right pedal a little and smile away!!

I have a 2006 sierra 2500HD ,4x crew cab, short bed, diesel. It averages 17 mpg empty and 11 mpg towing 18 foot cargo @ 5600#.

I also have a 2007 Sierra 2500HD 4x crew cab short bed diesel. It averages 18 mpg empty and 11 mpg towing 18 foot cargo @ 5600#.

Love them both great all around vehicles highway, snow, mud and sand.
